At FarmConnectAfrica.com, we are committed to creating a trustworthy B2B marketplace that simplifies sourcing of African farm produce. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our terms regarding cancellations, refunds, and fee reversals for services rendered through the Platform.

 

1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to:

  • Marketing activities and support fees charged by Farm Connect Africa.
  • Paid subscriptions or promotional listings on FarmConnectAfrica.com.
  • Disputes arising between suppliers and buyers regarding order cancellation or product returns.

Note: FarmConnectAfrica.com acts as a facilitator and does not directly sell or ship any produce unless exceptionally and specifically indicated. Therefore, product-related refunds or cancellations must be resolved between the buyer and the supplier.

 

2. Cancellation of Services

a. Platform Services (e.g., Premium Listings, Subscriptions):

  • Users may cancel premium services or paid subscriptions at any time via their dashboard or by emailing farmconnectafrica.com.
  • If cancelled within 30 days of activation, users may request a full refund (subject to approval).
  • After 30 days, cancellation is permitted but no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the service.

b. Transaction Cancellations (Between Buyers & Suppliers):

  • Buyers and suppliers must mutually agree to cancel any pending transaction.
  • Farm Connect Africa bears no responsibility for losses, returns, or cancellations resulting from product issues, logistics failure, or unmet expectations.
  • Any dispute must be resolved directly between the parties involved.

 

3. Refunds for Platform Fees

  • Marketing support charged to suppliers upon successful sales are non-refundable, except in the case of:
    • Verified fraud or misrepresentation by the buyer.
    • Errors arising or caused by the platform.

Refunds will only be processed if requested within 30 days of the transaction and accompanied by supporting documentation.

 

4. Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact farmconnectafrica.com with:

  • Business name and user account details.
  • Transaction ID or service purchased.
  • Reason for cancellation or refund request.
  • Any supporting documents (e.g., screenshots, buyer/supplier communication).

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 business days.

 

5. Non-Refundable Services

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Completed transactions between buyers and suppliers.
  • Paid marketing campaigns or advertisements once published.
  • Service fees for manual verifications or documentation processing.
  • Marketing commission on successful deals.

 

6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute involving transaction refunds or misrepresentation:

  • Farm Connect Africa may mediate, but has no obligation to enforce a refund.
  • Users are encouraged to use written agreements and keep transaction records.
  • Repeated complaints may lead to account suspension.

 

7. Changes to This Policy

Farm Connect Africa reserves the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website with the updated effective date.
